JANUARY SHELTER CONVERSATION AT BREAKFAST

Get your hands out of the cereal bag

God damn it, and show some respect.

You pick up half-smoked cigarettes

off the ground and smoke them.

You go into a dumpster behind Taco Time

for half-eaten burritos

and want to call me out

for taking three Wheaties

out of a bag with my fingers.

I admit it, what else can I do?

It's still lack of respect.
